Praying for Paws is a non-profit dog rescue group that is dedicated to helping homeless dogs in the Henry County, Georgia area. We focus on larger dogs but have a large variety of breeds, such as German Shepherds, Border Collies, Beagles, terriers, hounds, and many beautiful Labrador Retrievers. Our biggest needs are adoptions, foster homes, volunteers, and donations.

Zeva and Ducky
came to our program together after their elderly owner died. They lived outdoors and were not properly socialized. When they first arrived, they were terrified of everyone and only wanted to be with each other. With lots of love and work from our volunteers and staff, they are starting to come out of their shell. We think that they are about 3 years old. Zeva is a Boxer/Lab mix, and Ducky is a Shepherd mix. Ducky is especially loving and motivated by affection, while Zeva seems to be motivated by food treats. Both dogs are house trained and seem to do well with other dogs, as long as they are calm. They have no aggressive tendencies at all but need a patient owner to help them with training and trust. They can be adopted separately or together. Please give them a loving home today!

JadaJada was adopted back in the summer. Poor Jada had spent her life as a puppy mill breeder dog, but she was rescued along with several other dogs.

Jada’s new owners love her and have made her part of their family. She is spoiled and happy, and we are so grateful that they love her!
